Trying to put into words what makes a story good, great or awesome is very hard! So here goes.....Rance, aka Casper, he broke my heart and made me want to smack him all in the same breath! I get he had a bad past but, really??? Wake up and pay attention to your friends, no your family!!! And his Maharishi is no better! They let fear rule them for years!Jude, now he's my kind of person! He knows what friends, family and communication means in a relationship!We get a story filled with, emotion, humor, plenty of action and the hunt for a murderer! What more do you need?Not to forget Rylee, Bren and the other men of the D.O.A!I've gotten very attached to this motley crew and their dragon counterparts and each one is filling out the story and the world is expanding! I'm so excited and hope we get many more of these! Rating: 3 starsAlthough this series is not perfect by any means, I am enjoying it. I am really enjoying the interaction between the DOA agents, dragons and the three humans in the group. I must say that Clara aka Mom is my favorite. Jude was a bit over the top personality wise, but I liked that he forced both Smoky the dragon and Casper to get over their issues in order to bond. Speaking of bonding, I didn’t really like the bonding scene between the MCs. It was really made me cringe.The story itself with the arsonist, I felt ended a bit anticlimactically. Although saying that, I did not put all the pieces together so that is a plus. All in all, I recommend this if you liked the first one in the series.
